Remember when I told you about my trip to Paris and I purchased a great dress only to have the retailer expand to the States a few months later? No? Well, you can read about it here.
Want to know what the next brand to hit our shores will (or should) be?
Introducing Swildens. Swildens is Juliette Swilden’s line that was established in 2003. Swildens has three branded stores in Paris – and also a 2013 collaboration with Merci and a 2014 collaboration with Japanese retailer, Isetan.
And with her easy, downtown girl Parisian style, I bet (and hope) she will soon be launching on our soil.
Trust me, I know these things.
While the momentum for Swilden’s continues to build, let’s talk about the brand and of course, the fashion.
The stores are crisp, well organized, and well lighted. The only “decoration” to speak of is the carefully placed mood boards throughout the store. The mood boards were timely, interesting, and matched the Native American inspiration of the summer line.
Swildens fall lookbook was just released and once again, Juliette nailed the look of a cool downtown Parisian girl – classic cuts with interesting fabrics and textures.
Check out more of the Swildens’ lookbook here. And here is what I bought when I was at the store!
