As I started on my Done By December One Workbook, I noticed that I had a couple of budding mixologists on my gift list. And of course, I would like to buy Made in USA, so I began my search for barware, tools and tonics for the perfect bar!
I started my search at Kaufmann Mercantile – always an excellent place to start. I found a great ceramic growler, copper cups (perfect for moscow mules), and small batch tonics/bitters by Jack Ruby Cocktail Co.
Here are my made in USA mixologist gift ideas! All the images are shoppable, so click away to see more details about each product!
I also ended up spending a couple of hours on a great site – The Boston Shaker. Located in Somerville, MA, The Boston Shaker was started by Adam Lantheaume when he tried to replicate his favorite cocktails at home and struggled to find the necessary tools and ingredients.
I love when a local business starts because someone spotted a legitimate need and decided to fill it! As we are all trying to buy from local and small businesses this holiday, I would highly suggest you head over to The Boston Shaker. It is easy to shop and has lots of interesting information for mixologists of all levels. I loved the whiskey stones from Colorado, mint julep cups from CT, and a perfect maple wood muddler.
I also couldn’t resist the cool upcycled, gold leaf beer bottle glasses from uncommon goods!
One more quick note and trick – I hit the local liquor store and stash a few bottles of whatever is local! When I am in Oklahoma, I buy this great beer. This year, I will probably pick up a couple of bottles of Kings County Distillery to stash in the stockings hanging at the holiday parties I am attending! I can imagine how excited some of my friends will be to think that Santa brought them moonshine…
Know any other great small business sites for mixologist tools and tricks? Other great gift ideas for the mixologist on your list? I would love to hear about it and add it to the list!
