I have a hard time parting ways with perfectly functional furniture. Case in point: A Basket Weave Wrought Iron Framed Mirror from the first days of our marriage.
After surfing the web for days, I stumbled on to a few Rub and Buff project sites dedicated to costume making for medieval fairs and robot conventions – no joke. But aside from the silly name and the crazy projects, I decided this could be the lifesaver for that wrought iron mirror.
Rub and Buff is extremely easy to use, a little goes a long way, and dries almost immediately. You can apply it with a clean cloth, but I used q-tips to avoid an all over spray painted look. I also used two colors of Rub and Buff to allow for some tonal variation. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the results and have been scouring the house for other objects that need a little update!
Would love to hear how you are using Rub and Buff – drop me a note and let me know!
